Learn how to set up your availability, block off time, create buffer periods, and sync external calendars to effectively manage your Nexook schedule.

As a Nexook expert, effectively managing your calendar is essential for building a successful practice. This guide will help you set up and maintain your availability to maximize booking opportunities while maintaining work-life balance.

Setting Up Your Initial Availability

  1. Navigate to the Calendar Section

    • Log in to your Nexook account

    • Click on "Profile" in the main navigation menu

  2. Set Your Regular Working Hours

    • Click "Set your availability."

    • Select the days and times you're typically available

    • Click "Save" to update your regular schedule

  3. Set Your Session Duration

    • Go to "Profile" > "Call Duration & Set your Rate"

    • Select your preferred session lengths (30 min, 45 min, 60 min, etc.)

Managing Day-to-Day Availability

Blocking Off Time

Need to take time off or handle personal matters? Here's how to block time on your calendar:

Option A: Sync your Calendar with Nexook and block your time directly on your calendar

  1. On your "Calendar sync" on the hamburger menu (upper left corner, right next to your profile picture)

  2. Click on "+ Connect calendar account" on either the "Calendar to check for overlaps" or "Calendar for both cases" options

  3. Follow the steps to connect your calendar.

  4. Proceed to blocking time on your personal calendar and these times will be reflected on your availability on your Nexook calendar.

Please note that the Calendar sync is currently only available for Google Calendar.

Option B: Tailor your available time on your profile

  1. Navigate to the Calendar Section

    • Log in to your Nexook account

    • Click on "Profile" in the main navigation menu

  2. Set Your Regular Working Hours

    • Click "Set your availability."

    • Select the days and times you're typically available

    • Click "Save" to update your regular schedule

Setting Buffer Times

Buffer time is currently not available and will be introduced as an option shortly.

Synchronizing External Calendars

Connect your Google Calendar (more integrations coming soon) to prevent double-bookings:

  1. Click "Calendar sync" on the hamburger menu (upper left corner, right next to your profile picture)

  2. Click "+ Connect calendar account" on either the "Calendar to check for overlaps" or "Calendar for both cases" options

  3. Follow the steps to connect your calendar.

  4. Select which calendars to sync

  5. Now your availability will reflect the external calendar connected and Nexook sessions will be reflected on your selected calendar.

Best Practices for Availability Management

  • Be consistent with your availability to help clients find regular session times

  • Update your calendar promptly when your availability changes

  • Check your upcoming schedule daily to prepare for sessions

  • Consider time zones when setting your availability (Nexook will display your times in the client's local time zone)

  • Block off holidays and vacations at least one month in advance

Important Policy Reminders

  • Once a client books a session, you are committed to that time slot

  • Experts cannot reschedule confirmed sessions; if you're unable to attend, you must cancel

  • Cancellations may affect your expert rating and may incur cancellation fees (see our Cancellation Policy for details)
