Nexook uses Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor, to handle all transactions on the platform. This guide explains our payment system and answers common questions about how money moves through the platform.
Payment Methods Accepted
Nexook currently accepts the following payment methods:
Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay
ACH Transfers: For US-based users
All payment information is securely stored by Stripe and not directly on Nexook's servers.
Transaction Fees Explained
Nexook charges the following transaction fees on payments made to experts:
Premium Plan: 5% transaction fee
Basic Plan: 10% transaction fee
For example:
A $100 session with an expert on the Premium plan: Expert receives $95, Nexook receives $5
A $100 session with an expert on the Basic plan: Expert receives $90, Nexook receives $10
These fees cover:

Platform maintenance and development
Customer support services

The Payment Flow
Here's how money moves through the Nexook platform:
Client books a session
Client selects a session and payment method
Payment is authorized but not immediately charged
Payment is held
Funds are held in a secure escrow system
The client's payment method is not charged until the session occurs
Session completion
After the session takes place, the payment is processed
Funds are released to the expert's Nexook balance
Transaction fees are deducted automatically
Expert withdrawal
Experts can withdraw their balance to their bank account
Withdrawals are processed according to the schedule in the Expert Payments section
Payment Security
Nexook prioritizes the security of all financial transactions:
PCI DSS Compliance: We adhere to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards
Encryption: All payment data is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols
Fraud Detection: We use advanced systems to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions
No Card Storage: Nexook does not directly store credit card information on our servers
Refunds and Disputes
Refunds are processed according to our Session Cancellations & Rescheduling Policy.
Refunds are always issued to the original payment method
Processing time for refunds is typically 3-5 business days, depending on your payment provider

Currency and International Payments
All transactions on Nexook are processed in USD
International payments may incur currency conversion fees from your payment provider
Nexook does not charge additional fees for international transactions
Exchange rates are determined by your payment provider, not by Nexook
Tax Information
Clients will receive receipts for all transactions
Experts are responsible for determining and paying applicable taxes on their earnings
Nexook uses Stripe's tax calculation services but does not guarantee the accuracy of tax calculations
Users should consult with a tax professional regarding their tax obligations
